Mary Eileen McDonnell was born on the 28th of April, 1952 and is an American actress in stage and film. McDonnell was honored with an Academy Award nod for the role she as in Dances with Wolves, as Stands With A Fist. Additionally to her role in the film McDonnell has a cult following for her role as Laura Roslin (President of Battlestar Galactica) and the wife of the president on Independence Day as well as her lead role in Donnie Doom, as his mother.
